Greenpatch camping ground upgrade

A popular Gordonvale camp ground will get an upgrade providing additional facilities for short-stay travellers.

The upgrade of the Greenpatch camp ground will provide 42 campsites and includes a new amenities block with toilets and showers, dump point and day-use facilities such as picnic spots.

On the banks of the Mulgrave River and Hemming Creek, the camp ground will be closed during the wet season, and flood warning signs will be installed to alert campers of potential inundation.

Council officers will patrol the area and if required advise campers to evacuate.
