Free workshops to help SA small businesses be prepared for natural disasters Rural Business Support’s Business Readiness Program is helping 135 small rural and regional South Australian businesses to be better prepared to withstand and survive natural disaster events. The project includes 27 free workshops across SA, with participants also receiving a half hour telephone consultation at a later date. The workshops will help you to: – Identify your critical business resources, infrastructure and plant/equipment. – Find out how your business would be impacted by several natural disaster scenarios. – Plan key actions that can be taken before, during and afterwards to reduce and/or avoid these risks altogether. – Develop your own Business Readiness Plan that can be saved, shared and regularly updated. Funded under the Natural Disaster Resilience Program by the South Australian Government and the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs, the workshops are open to any small regional business with less than 20 employees.
