If you’re itching to meet the author of a best-selling young adult series, here is your chance!
Simon Mayo, the award winning author of Itch and one of Britain’s best loved radio presenters will be at the Albany Public Library for an exclusive night of discussion about his life, work and the publishing process.
On this Thursday, February 14 at 5.30pm, this free event will give the community the opportunity to ask questions of the author, hear firsthand the process behind publishing a novel, and have a book signed.
City of Albany Manager Precinct Paul Nielsen encourages all residents to take advantage of the opportunity to hear from the popular radio presenter and author.
“It’s fantastic that the Albany Public Library is able to host such fantastic talent from across the globe,” Mr Nielsen said. “Community members should feel proud that Albany is drawing the interest of so many wonderful authors.”
The story ‘Itch’ follows a teenager that is collecting all the elements in the periodic table. When he discovers a strange new rock that everyone seems to want, Itch and his family are catapulted into an adventure.
Bookings for the evening are essential. Please call the Albany Public Library on 6820 3600 to reserve a space.
