Connected Communities Strategy Review

Have your say on the City of Albany’s Connected Communities 2014-2018 Strategy. The existing strategy is under review and outlines the priorities of the City’s Community Development team.

Creating socially inclusive and connected communities has important outcomes for all residents, with higher resilience and improved mental health key results from the strategy.

City of Albany Executive Director Community Services Susan Kay invites all residents to provide feedback on the existing strategy.

“The Connected Communities Strategy has successfully delivered a number of initiatives in the four years since adoption, such as neighbourhood development activities in Lockyer and Spencer Park,” Ms Kay said.

“By reviewing the strategy, we are ensuring that the City’s diverse number of community groups have input into how the City can work with them to connect their neighbourhood.”

Make your voice heard by completing the survey or attending one of the City’s workshops held at various convenient locations.

The Connected Communities strategy survey is available online at https://bit.ly/2GaOsYe. A hard copy of the survey and feedback forms can also be collected from the Albany Public Library or the City of Albany North Road Administration Building.

Alternatively, attend one of the following workshops around Albany:

Wednesday 13 February, 6pm - Torbay Hall;

Wednesday 20 February, 6pm - King River Hall;

Thursday 21 February, 6pm - Manypeaks Community Association Hall; or,

Wednesday 27 February, 2pm or 6pm City of Albany Civic Rooms.
