he City of Busselton will be holding a reuse car-boot sale on Saturday 9 March from 8am to 12pm at Signal Park, Busselton.
This additional outdoor sellathon event comes on the back of the success of the annual Garage Sale Trail and Signal Park Sellathon which has been held in October for the past few years.
Mayor Grant Henley said there’s growing interest among the community for these types of events which encourage recycling and reuse and are generally very well supported.
“We’ve had calls from the community to host more than one such event a year, the result is the Summer Sellathon!”
The event is being held at Signal Park in Busselton and set up for sellers is at 7am.
“This is a great opportunity to declutter the house or shed of items that are no longer needed and make some spare cash,” said Mayor Henley.
“For buyers it’s an opportunity to uncover some real treasures, mingle with the community and support the recycle, reuse ethos.”
It is free to register to have a stall at the Summer Sellathon and entry into the sellathon for buyers is free. However, as this market is all about encouraging reuse and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill, please only bring second hand and pre-loved items.
