Community grant applications open
Local community groups are invited to apply for the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s Major and General Grants program.
Shire President Michelle Rich said the community grants program aims to provide financial assistance to incorporated not-for-profit organisations and community groups for the delivery of projects and events.
Cr Rich said local groups were encouraged to apply for a grant to help make their project or event a reality and to enhance the Serpentine Jarrahdale community.
“There are many great community groups and not-for-profit organisations in the Shire,” Cr Rich said.
“Our community grants program is a fantastic opportunity for them to apply for financial assistance to assist in the delivery of their initiative.”
General Grants are available for up to $5,000 per financial year that demonstrate outcomes and benefits consistent with the principles outlined in the Shire’s General Grants guidelines.
Major Grants are available for values between $5,000 and $50,000 to assist with the implementation of activities consistent with the Shire’s Major Grants guidelines, and in alignment with Shire’s plans and objectives.
Registered not-for-profit organisations and incorporated community groups are eligible to apply for community grants.
Grant applicants must operate as a local community group within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Local Government Area (LGA) or be able to demonstrate that the project will benefit residents of the Serpentine Jarrahdale LGA.
Applications close at 5pm, Thursday 28 February.
