Liverpool City Council invites senior residents to its free Seniors Concert for a day of fantastic live performances and lunch among friends.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the concert was a perennial favourite among older members of the community in Liverpool.

“Our seniors’ concerts are very popular,” Mayor Waller said. “Tickets for the concert we held last November were gone in less than one week.”

Talented vocalist Susannah Mirana’s charm will take you back to the nostalgic sounds of the 1950s through to today, while Johnny V’s performance takes inspiration from rock ‘n roll greats Roy Orbison, Rod Stewart, Johnny O’Keefe and others.

“The Seniors Concert is a great opportunity for Council and the wider community to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions our seniors have made to our city,” Mayor Waller said.

“One in five of our residents are older than 55, an increase of more than 25 per cent since 2011.”

This event is open to residents of the Liverpool City Council area and members of Liverpool-based seniors groups only. Seniors must be over 55 years of age.

Tickets to the free event can be reserved from 9am, Wednesday 13 March, at www.liverpool.nsw.gov.au/seniorsconcert, over the phone on 8711 7751 or by visiting Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.

Council will only issue one ticket per pension or seniors card number provided and there is a limit of four tickets per person.
