Council Plan Update

Council noted the second quarter progress update of the implementation of the 2018/19 Council Plan initiatives.

The update incorporates a total of 28 actions with 22 in progress, 1 not yet started and 5 completed.

Some of the projects underway include:

Rushworth’s Streetscape Renewal Project with the planning permit now granted along with the consultation regarding tree choice starting. Working with the State Emergency Services (SES) to develop an evacuation plan for Rochester that identifies access routes during flood events. Progressing the Echuca East Recreational Reserve upgrades with key users of the site.

In addition, council’s Customer First Strategy has been completed, a strategy which sets the vision of providing a customer service experience that is effortless, accurate and friendly.

The actions support the implementation of the Council Plan, a document that sets a vision of ‘We are strong, supportive, vibrant and sustainable’.

Councillor appointments made

Campaspe Shire Councillors were appointed to various external committees and boards to ensure council and the community is represented at a regional and state level.

Responsive Grants

Council has approved a responsive grant of $500 to Committee for Echuca Moama (C4EM) Incorporated to assist with costs associated with the International Women’s Day event being held in Moama on 5 March.
