Burdekin women are invited to discuss the importance of financial independence during Burdekin Shire Council’s upcoming Your Finances, Your Future motivational evening.

Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said the Queensland Women’s Week event, being held on Friday 8 March at the Burdekin Theatre, aimed to inspire and empower women to enhance their economic security.

“The evening will be headlined by financial adviser and former Burdekin resident Leisa Quagliata. Leisa is a passionate advocate for creative financial planning to enable a financially free lifestyle for women,” Cr McLaughlin said.

“Also sharing their stories through a Q&A panel are four other successful business women, including TalkHQ’s Julie Sexton and Jenna Mottin, Crosby Brosnan Creen’s Sandra Clive and Dal Santo’s Deli’s Carla Dal Santo.”

Cr McLaughlin said tickets to the Your Finances, Your Future motivational evening included a welcome drink and gourmet platters.

“This event provides a fantastic opportunity for local women to network and feel empowered about taking control of their finances.

“Tickets are on sale now however numbers are limited so get in quick to avoid disappointment.”
