State Library of Queensland research fellowships – applications now open

Are you interested in delving into Queensland’s rich past and present to uncover new stories? Applications are now open for State Library of Queensland’s 2019 research fellowships, with five research opportunities available totalling $60,000. Use State Library’s vast resources to investigate Queensland’s social and business history. People from all walks of life who are committed to researching a chosen topic are encouraged to apply!

A range of research fellowships and awards are available annually as part of the Queensland Memory Awards. The Awards recognise the valuable contribution of individuals and organisations from across Queensland make to the investigation, preservation and celebration of Queensland’s rich history.

State Library invites applicants to respond to the Library’s unique collections and resources including manuscripts, maps, music, newspapers, oral histories and rare printed material. Researchers and creatives from all backgrounds and disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Applications and nominations for the 2019 Queensland Memory Awards are now open. All applications must be received by 5:00pm Thursday 28 March 2019.
