Armadale helps visitors feel more welcome
City of Armadale 26 Feb 2019

Eighteen tourism wayfinding signs have been installed in and around the Armadale City Centre to help people find their way from one place to another.

Research shows wayfinding signage enhances the experience of visitors to City spaces. People are able to more easily orientate themselves in space, determine a route to their destination, and are reassured they are on the right path or confirm they have arrived.

“Visitors who come into the City using the Perth to Armadale train line can now more easily navigate through the City Centre and up to the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre. At the Centre they will find out what is happening and be encouraged to stay longer to enjoy the range of attractions, parks and businesses,” said City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM,JP.

“This project will contribute to a memorable and positive image of the City of Armadale as an inclusive and welcoming place for residents and visitors as it will be easier to find their way, and also encourages alternative modes of transport instead of driving,”

The Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre is open from 9am to 4pm on weekdays and 9am to 2pm on weekends.
