Winning streak for Council’s early education centres

Warwick Farm Early Education and Care Centre has become the third of Liverpool City Council’s childcare centres to receive top honours from the NSW Government this financial year.

The centre earned the rating of ‘Exceeding National Quality Standards’ in all seven criteria of a recent assessment by the NSW Department of Education.

“It is fantastic news to hear that another one of Council’s Early Education and Care Centres has received such high praise for its quality service,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.

“This announcement adds to the winning streak for Council’s childcare centres, becoming the third to receive top marks following Wattle Grove and Hinchinbrook at the start of the financial year.

“All seven of our childcare centres have achieved this top rating for their quality, so a congratulations must go to our Children’s Services staff who build genuine connections with all their children and are passionate about being part of their growth.”

Mayor Waller said the ratings highlight Council’s commitment to early childhood development.

“The result confirms Council is leading the way in early education. In Liverpool, we are delivering an innovative curriculum, inclusive practices and quality learning environments for young children,” Mayor Waller said.

“It fills me with great pride that Council is a driver for Liverpool becoming a one-stop shop for outstanding education, from early education to tertiary studies.

“Council is committed to education for people of all ages in our community and has built great partnerships with schools and universities in Liverpool to help ensure our growing city has access to world class education.”

The NSW Department of Education’s assessment and rating process analyses service quality in seven areas, including the education program, health and safety, physical environment, staffing, relationships with children, families and communities, and the management of the service.
