Where in the region can you now find a sky tower and a mammoth swing? Look no further than Cooma’s Centennial Park playground.
The playground is currently being upgraded, and once complete, will become one of the Snowy Monaro’s most visited recreational facilities.
Last Friday, passers-by would have noticed a crane moving the playground’s feature item, the sky tower, into place.
The sky tower, standing 8 metres tall, is set to be a favourite amongst children of all ages.
Work continued over the weekend to connect slides, and to install other pieces of equipment.
With construction soon to be completed, Council looks forward to celebrating with the community at an official open day in March.
