Talented contemporary Aboriginal artist Danielle Mate Sullivan will discuss her work and connection with culture at an International Women’s Day artLIB talk from 6pm to 7.30pm on Thursday 7 March at Eagle Vale Library.
A descendant of the Murrawarri People and the Euahlayi People, Danielle’s art aims to take young urban Aboriginal people on a journey of self-discovery, helping them connect with their heritage and to create something that gives them a sense of pride.
Her work includes a giant magnificent mural landmark which she painted on a 32.7m Sydney Water reservoir in Edmondson Park.
The artist has held numerous exhibitions in NSW, Queensland and the ACT and received great praise and recognition from across the community.
artLIB is part of a host of events being held in our city to celebrate International Women’s Day.
