Capricorn Coast region businesses will be given invaluable insight into the world of investment and funding opportunities next week after Trade Investment Queensland (TIQ) visits the region to deliver a workshop at the Yeppoon Town Hall.

Deputy Mayor and Council’s Digital Economy and Innovation Champion Councillor Nigel Hutton said this was a fantastic opportunity for our region’s local business community to take advantage of.

“Council is thrilled to host this workshop that offers our local business community the most up-to-date information available and important techniques to tap into the investment market, which could open up a vast range of possibilities for businesses to expand their horizons,” Cr Hutton said.

“Support and guidance from industry professionals and government agencies can provide a huge benefit to businesses across a broad range of industries and I strongly encourage the local businesses community to get behind this excellent initiative.

“During the workshop, participants will gain an understanding of investment and funding attraction pathways and what investors, banks and governments are looking for to make decisions.

“Knowing what sort of investment or funding suits your needs is crucial to your success. Whether you’re looking to expand domestically or explore global markets, you have a new project or business idea that needs investment or you’re just looking to grow, this is the perfect opportunity for local businesses to gain essential knowledge and insight.

“Council would like to thank TIQ and the Queensland Government for hosting this event in our region and providing a brilliant service to local businesses to give them the best advantage when planning to attract funding.”

The session will also include foreign investment trends, international investor requirements, and partnering with Trade and Investment Queensland to achieve outcomes.

Keep an eye out for further practical business workshops provided by TIQ in the first half of 2019, for small to medium-sized businesses in regional Queensland looking to grow.
