International author Natasha Lester will visit Byford.
International bestselling author Natasha Lester will visit Byford this April to help launch her new book The French Photographer.
Originally from Perth, Natasha has taken her writing career around the globe, growing into a household name for fans of historical fiction.
Her first novel A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald was a major success, and was followed by the equally acclaimed Her Mother’s Secret and The Paris Seamstress.
Each book follows a similar theme and celebrates brave women doing remarkable things.
Natasha’s latest novel is inspired by the incredible true story of Lee Miller, a glamour model who became one of the first female war photojournalists.
Shire President Cr Michelle Rich encouraged fans of historical fiction to take the opportunity to meet the author.
“Natasha’s books have enchanted readers in Australia and beyond,” Cr Rich said.
“It is truly wonderful to have an author of her calibre visit our local library.
“This is a great opportunity to have a chat with one of Perth’s most talented writers and I’d encourage anyone who like to hear more about Natasha’s life and work to attend.”
The free event is supported by the Serpentine Jarrahdale Library Friends committee and Dymocks Garden City and is open to people of all ages.
It will be held at St. Aidan’s Community Centre on April 11, 6.30pm – 8pm.
Bookings can be made via Eventbrite.
