Free fun on offer at Family Fun Day Out

Don’t miss your chance to attend the second of Council’s free Celebrate Maroondah events with a Family Fun Day Out at Glen Park on this weekend, Sunday 3 March 2019.

The event program features a range of fun entertainment and activities between 11am and 2pm, including a free sausage sizzle, face painting, arts, music and games galore.

With blue skies and warm weather predicted, why not grab your bathers and towel and cool off on the slip ‘n’ slide, join in a game of bubble soccer, or indulge in an ice-cream, which will be available for purchase.

Maroondah Mayor, Councillor Rob Steane, said the Celebrate Maroondah events always proved popular, with the first event hosted in Mullum Ward last month hugely successful and well attended.

“The first of our Celebrate Maroondah events was Jazz in The Park at Ringwood Lake Park. The evening proved a huge hit with crowds soaking up the jazz and blues atmosphere with live and roving performances by jazz bands Shirazz and Total Fire Band,” Cr Steane said.

“If you enjoyed this event then you don’t want to miss the second in our series of Celebrate Maroondah events – Family Fun Day Out – being held in Arrabri Ward.

“This is a great excuse to get out with the family and enjoy a host of free and fun activities and celebrate what’s great about Maroondah,” he said.
