Ballarat Paralympians will be honoured at a ceremony to mark the official opening of the Ballarat Paralympic Sports Avenue on Wednesday (6/3) at 12.15pm.

The ceremony will include the unveiling of plaques honouring athletes from Ballarat to have represented Australia at the Paralympic Games.

The Ballarat Paralympic Sports Avenue is located next to the Ballarat Olympic Precinct at Lake Wendouree.

The avenue design embodies the principles of the Paralympic movement and its motto of “spirit in motion”.
