5 March 2019 - Media release
If you’re a local community group, club or other not-for-profit body looking for external funding to help bring your special project or event to fruition, apply for a Campaspe Shire Community Grant – now open.
Mayor Cr Adrian Weston said not-for-profit groups are encouraged to apply for financial assistance in the first round of the annual Community Grants Program.
“Community Grants allow groups to deliver a wide range of locally identified initiatives which provide new opportunities for residents to get together, get active and get involved, “ Cr Weston said.
Applications have now moved to an online process.
“This allows applicants the ability to start the application, save it, attach supporting documents and submit when ready,” Cr Weston said.
Round one funding categories and allocations are as follows:
Community Support Grants
This category supports the delivery of programs, projects and activities that benefit residents of the shire with amounts available up to $4,000.
Event Grants
These grants aim to encourage and assist with community groups hosting local events. The maximum grants available are Community event $1,000; Minor event $3,000; and Major event $5,000.
Guidelines are available from council’s website as well as customer service centres. Groups needing assistance with their online application are encouraged to contact Bobbi Aitken on 1300 666 535.
Applications close Thursday, 18 April.
Following assessment of applications, those recommended for approval will be considered at the June council meeting. Funds will be presented to successful groups in July 2019.
