City of Darwin Grant & Sponsorship Applications Now Open

City of Darwin has today announced that applications for their 2019/2020 grant and sponsorship programs are now open.   Since 2002 City of Darwin Grants and Sponsorships have injected significant funds into various events, community initiatives and festivals across Darwin. In recent years this has been over $400, 000 per year.   In 2018/19 alone City of Darwin’s Grant and Sponsorship programs supported over 40 diverse community organisations and events.

“City of Darwin is delighted to continue to support and provide funding for events and initiatives that directly benefit the Darwin community,” said Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis.   “Our grants and sponsorship programs support myriad activities that reflect our multicultural and vibrant city.”   The programs now open are:

Community & Environment Grants – support initiatives that contribute to community and environmental outcomes, have broad community appeal and directly benefit and promote Darwin. Organisations are invited to apply for grants of up to $10,000.   The Sponsorship Program – provides funding to support new or existing programs or events that contribute to the quality of life of the Darwin community.   Council is holding a number of Workshops to assist potential applicants with their submissions. These are being held Tuesday 12 March, 11am-12.30pm and Wednesday 13 March, 5.00-6.30pm.
