The City of Ballarat went through two expressions of interest, a formal nomination process and used both our own extensive social media network and the Paralympic movement networks to ensure we cast the net as wide as possible for nominees to be recognised as the first inductees to the Paralympic Walk.

Brett Holcombe did not nominate for inclusion.

The City of Ballarat has obviously have prepared the site to accommodate future nominees in recognition of potential for further historic nominees and pending Olympic games.

The City of Ballarat would welcome any further interest in the walk accordingly.
