Burdekin Shire Council advises that road reconstruction and drainage works will be undertaken on Hughes Road from Allen Road to Corica Road. The works are scheduled to commence on Monday 11th March 2019 and expected to be completed in June 2019, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Hughes Road will be closed from Allen Road to Corica Road during these works with access to local traffic only. The intersection at Hughes Road and Allen Road will be managed under traffic control or traffic lights to enable work to be undertaken safely and efficiently.
