UPDATE - as at 6.15am Sunday 10 March the cruise ship has been cancelled due to the high swells and not being able to safely tender the passengers ashore. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cooktown is throwing out the welcome mat this Sunday, March 10 as the 800-passenger Insignia cruise ship arrives in town. Existing market stall permit holders are encouraged to set up on Sunday, with the passengers expected to come ashore between 7am and 4pm.
