Have you checked out MyCoffs Connect – an inclusive online space and app for the local community to find out what’s on, join a group, or access services?

During the MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan consultation, people were very keen to have an easy-to-use online platform to support the Community Vision of being ‘connected, sustainable and thriving – and so Council has provided MyCoffs Connect.

MyCoffs Connect is an easy platform for community groups and service providers to list their details and also create and manage events. It’s also a very handy way for any member of the community to discover what events are happening locally and find a local interest group or service provider.

The new MyCoffs Connect Directory – www.mycoffsconnect.com – is available both online and via the Access My Community app and is free of charge to community members, groups and service providers.

If you are part of a community group or a service provider, you can get onto www.mycoffsconnect.com, create a login, list your group or service and get your events in the diary and easily become a part of this connected online directory for you and our community.

For a community member, it’s just a case of downloading the app or using the website.

The directory offers some great features including:

Free and easy access Easy to access diary of events Easily search for groups and services Handy ‘add event to your calendar’ function List and map views Up to date information Social media sharing Allows you to manage your own information Free support by calling 1300 762 515 Intuitive and user friendly software Simple and secure

The app allows you to quickly search what’s on, whether it’s for services, education and employment support, sport, recreation, conservation, information and advice, groups and clubs. You can also look up places of interest and find directions whether you’re walking, driving, cycling or taking the bus.

It’s a great resource for helping newcomers to the area join groups and be part of our community.  It makes navigating the local area very simple and is a one-stop option to find activities, events, services and community groups.

Sawtell Junior Cricket Club is one local club already taking advantage of the new online community resource. Club president Chris Neal (pictured above) said the platform was a great opportunity to let the community know about the club.
