Draft Code of Meeting Practice, Code of Code of Conduct and Procedures

Did you know that you are invited to all Cessnock City Council meetings?

Attending these meetings is a great way to find out what is happening in your community and provides you with a chance to voice your concerns on topics that are important to you and being considered at Council meetings.

We are about to change how we do business and we need your help.

Council is inviting members of the public to review our draft ‘Code of Conduct and Procedures’ and ‘Code of Meeting Practice’. These documents will guide Council on the way we do business and how we communicate and engage with our community and stakeholders.

Council has undertaken a comprehensive review of these documents in line with the Models prescribed by the Office of Local Government.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent encourages residents to review the documents and provide feedback.

“This is an important opportunity for members of the public to get involved and shape how we do business as a council.”

For more information on these documents and timeframes to provide feedback please visit the exhibitions page of Councils website or you can contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on 02 4993 4100.
