The website and social media pages of the Shire of Capel are important ways for the Shire to stay in touch with the entire Community. It’s important therefore that the Shire’s pages be impartial as much as possible, be removed from politics and remain operational in nature.
It is not possible for a Councillor or prospective Council candidate to communicate their candidacy or political views via these pages as it may appear that the Shire of Capel is supporting those views or the candidacy of that person. The Shire of Capel encourages all persons interested in the District to participate in the October 2019 Council election, either as a candidate or elector and has no position on the candidacy of any person.
