Got your new bin, now what?

Households are starting to receive their new waste and recycling bins ahead of the cleaner, greener, smarter, safer new waste service being introduced across the Northern Beaches.

When you get your new bins, leave your old bins out on the usual collection day. Once your old bins have been emptied, please don't use them anymore, just leave them on the kerb and start to use your new bins.

Old bins won't be emptied anymore once the bins are changed over.

One hundred per cent of the old bins will be recycled so make sure you leave them out for collection. We’ll be coming to collect old bins within 48 hours of them being emptied on your normal collection day.

To make sure your old bins are recycled, take the following steps:
