Council has been advised that SKM Services Pty Ltd (SKM) will resume acceptance of recyclable materials from Barwon Region councils for processing at its Geelong site from 9:00am on Wednesday 13 March 2019.

SKM provided the advice to Council following notification from the Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) revoking the ban on receipt of recyclables at SKM’s Laverton site.

“This is very welcome news for Council and the Borough of Queenscliffe community,” said Borough of Queenscliffe Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr Phillip Carruthers.

“Council thanks everyone in the community for their patience while SKM have worked to achieve compliance with EPA regulations,” said Mr Carruthers.
