Snowy Monaro Regional Council would like to advise Cooma residents that they will notice an earthy taste and odour in their water supply.

Following flash flooding last week, water quality of the Murrumbidgee River has been adversely affected.

The NSW Department of Health has been notified and water samples will be sent for independent testing to ensure water quality objectives are met.

Council is working to rectify the issue and would like to assure residents the water is safe to use.
