We have you covered these school holidays with a jam packed Youth Week program!
Youth Week kicks off on Thursday 4 April and runs until Friday 26 April. Well over 1000 young people of all ages and abilities are expected to take part in events across the Cessnock Local Government Area.
Young people, local organisations, businesses and Council have rallied together to put together another huge program that has a range of events and activities, offering something for everyone.
This is a great opportunity for our younger local residents aged between 12 and 25 to get out into the community and see what Cessnock has to offer. Youth Week is also a great opportunity to try something new.
Whether you are looking to gain a skill like cupcake decorating, producing your own podcast, learning how to use power tools or creating your own Aboriginal artwork. Maybe you’re looking to explore your interests in anime, skating or sewing? If any of this sounds like you we have you covered.
For those looking to explore outside the Cessnock area there are two excursions that offer fully accessible transport and a day of activities at Charlestown square and a day at the beach at Nelsons Bay. We are proud to offer a completely accessible program. This year we are ensuring wheel chair accessible transportation is on offer so everyone can enjoy the fun.
Pick up a program today at Cessnock City Council or like the CYCOS Facebook page for more details at www.facebook.com/cessnockyouthcentre. A program is also available on the Cessnock City Council website at www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/YouthWeek.
