Playground Upgrade for Rokeby Recreation Reserve

Published on 19 March 2019

Baw Baw Shire Council has teamed up with the Rokeby Hall Committee to install three new items of play equipment at the the Rokeby Recreation Reserve playground.

The initiative was lead by the Rokeby Hall Committee who contributed $13,395 towards the cost of the new equipment. Council supported the project by enlisting the Open Space Maintenance team to install the quipment.

The new equipment includes a Four Seat Rocker, Whirly Gig Spinner and Free-Standing Action Climber.

The Hall Committee raised the funds for the equipment through organising the monthly Rokeby Market, which is one of Victoria’s longest running markets.

The volunteer-run market features over 100 stallholders offering products and services that fit within the guidelines of ‘Make it, Bake it, Breed it, Grow it’. The market is held on the second Saturday of the month (except during winter) from 8.30am to 12.30pm.
