Interruption to Service – UPDATE

Lithgow City Council wishes to advise that repairs have been undertaken to restore the interruption to water supply in Lithgow.

Council experienced water main breaks in multiple areas of its reticulation system throughout Lithgow. Repairs have been completed to restore normal service but it is expected to take some time before full pressure returns.

Upon return of normal service, residents may experience dirty water for a period. Council will endeavour to minimise this by flushing the mains. Before using the water for domestic purposes, residents are advised to run a tap to ensure the water is clean and any dirt released into the system has been flushed.
