For busy parents, finding ways to keep children occupied during the holidays can often prove a challenge. But Council is here to help, offering plenty of creative, active and engaging options for primary school-aged children.
For families requiring an all-day option, Council runs Vacation Care programs at Springfield Park in Croydon and Belmont Park in Croydon South.
Children will find a new adventure every visit with daily fun-filled activities, fascinating incursions and exciting excursions. Whether a visit to the Scienceworks museum, a comedy show, or a basketball clinic with an appearance from a WNBL player, the focus is on keeping children from Prep to Grade 6 entertained and active.
Programs run between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday during school holidays (except for public holidays).
The Vacation Care Program also attracts Centrelink child care subsidies for eligible families.
Bookings for Maroondah’s Vacation Care programs fill up fast, so be sure to book early to avoid missing out. Bookings close Wednesday 20 March 2019.
