Last year, with a view to ascertaining what really matters to local businesses, the Economic Development team sought feedback on the type of workshop support businesses wanted from Council to help them flourish.
We surveyed a variety of local businesses, across a range of sectors, and combined that information with the feedback we received at our regular business workshops for the 2017-2018 business year.
High on the list of workshop topics Boroondara based businesses wanted to skill up on were:
sales and marketing business development and growth business planning social marketing financial management.Find out more about the business needs and issues survey.
Armed with this valuable insight into how our 2019 suite of business workshops could be extended to further meet the needs of our business community, we set about planning and refining our program.
Firstly we expanded our networking events, with the addition of Thursday night Express Networking offering an alternative for those unavailable on Tuesdays. We also contacted and secured our business mentoring team for the 2019 year.
We then looked at the topics respondents wanted to know more about, sourced exceptional facilitators and came up with exciting new inclusions.
