Farmland Rating Policy (new) The policy provides clear guidelines for Council and property owners on how to qualify for the farmland rating category and ensures that all farmland assessments are determined using a consistent criteria.

Ballina Shire Development Control Plan 2012 Draft Amendment No. 12 – General Amendments
Draft Amendment No.12 proposes changes to various controls including those relating to the car parking contributions plan for Lennox Head Village Centre; minimum buffer distances for hotmix asphalt / bitumen batch plants; new provisions for boat ramps, pontoons and jetties; removal of the requirement for screening of stacked parking permitted forward of the building line; amendments to landscaping and private open space requirements; and adjustments to reference new biodiversity legislation.

Proposed amendments to development controls arising from the DCP review are highlighted in yellow, and those arising from the Alstonville and Wardell dual occupancy development are highlighted in green.
