MEDIA RELEASE 22 March 2019
The Sustainable Living Expo is on this Saturday at the Bathurst Showgrounds in conjunction with the Bathurst Farmers’ Markets from 8am to 12.30pm.
Mayor Graeme Hanger OAM said the schedule is packed with things to see and do, so there will be something for everyone.
“The event not only raises overall awareness of ways to live more sustainably, it also provides an excellent opportunity for local businesses, non-government organisations, community groups and others to showcase their sustainable ideas, products, services and volunteer opportunities,” he said.
“Council will have our first plug-in electric vehicle on display along with JR Richards’ Recycling and garbage trucks available for the kids to have a look in.”
There will be over 25 local businesses and community groups displaying their various products and services on the day with some great eco-friendly products on offer.
Bring your cash, water bottle, shopping bag and your phone for great photos with our presenters, performers and wildlife. There will also be tasty food and coffee available at the farmers markets as well as all the great local produce to take home at the end of the day.
