Construction on the facility, which began in June 2018, finished approximately four months ahead of schedule earlier this month.
With practical completion accomplished, the City is now in the process of commissioning and testing the facility before it becomes available for bookings in mid-April.
Once the building is available for public use, bookings will managed through the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre.
Residents will be able to book a number of spaces including the Banksia Hall (Main Hall), Grevillea Room (Activity Room 1), Paperbark Room (Activity Room 2), and Sheoak Room (Counselling Room).
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said the 650 square metre facility was a multipurpose venue capable of holding a number of user groups.
"The Baldivis South Community Centre is an exciting new development that will provide Baldivis and the wider community with much needed spaces for hire," Mayor Sammels said.
"In addition to being a rentable space, the Baldivis South Community Centre also has supporting amenities including a children’s play space, car parking and landscaped areas. The facility will also provide additional resources for the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre, which is experiencing huge demand for its community spaces."
"The City also gratefully acknowledges funding support from Lotterywest, which provided a $900,000 grant for the project. We would also like to thank Holton Connor Architects and Planners and ADCO Constructions for helping to deliver the project well ahead of schedule."
The Baldivis South Community Centre is located on the corner of Borough Road and Lamorak Way in Baldivis.
