Draft Koorlong Development Plan Stage 2

Mildura Rural City Council’s draft Koorlong Development Plan Stage 2 is on public exhibition from 22 March 2019 to 15 April 2019 and public comment is sought.

As background for the draft plan, the Mildura Housing and Settlement Strategy identified a need for more Low Density Residential Zone (LDRZ) land in Koorlong.

Planning Scheme Amendment C89 has been implemented to address this need, introducing the LDRZ and Development Plan Overlay on land bordered by Twenty-First Street, Benetook Avenue and Dal Farra Road, Koorlong.

The Draft Development Plan will guide both short and longer term planning and development within this area and will:

Identify and address opportunities and constraints that will affect the development of the land Provide direction about the preferred development outcomes and form of development Provide certainty to Council landowners and the general public alike about the form of the future development of this area.

Anyone wishing to comment or provide feedback on this matter must lodge a written submission with Council. Feedback/comments supplying a contact name and postal address will receive a written response.

Written feedback/comments provided are considered public documents and issues/matters raised therein (including authorship) may be reported to Council in an open Council meeting Agenda.
