Nominations still open for Snowy Monaro Youth Awards

It’s not too late to nominate an outstanding young person for a Snowy Monaro Youth Award. The Youth Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the achievements of young people and celebrate the valuable contribution they make to our community.
The award categories this year are: •Academic Achievement •Community Participation •Resilience & Determination Sports •Industry Award •Rural Achiever •Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Media •Leadership •Community Project To be eligible, the nominee must be aged between 12-24 and live, work or study in the Snowy Monaro local government area.
Finalists from each award category will be invited to attend an awards dinner in Cooma on Thursday 11 April as part of National Youth Week celebrations.
The cost of the dinner is covered for the young person and parents/supporters will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the event.
Applications close 5pm Friday 29 March 2019. Nomination forms can be found on Council’s website (link below) or at any Council office and library.
