HomeNews Articles2019March 2019 Council teams up with Challenge Recycling for Schools Program
Tuesday, 26 March 2019

Education is paramount when it comes to making long term behavioural changes towards sustainable waste practices.

The Challenge Recycling Services Schools Program, supported by Council, provides free waste sustainability education and services to local schools, with the focus on encouraging recycling and identifying ways that schools can improve waste diversion activities.

Council has supported this program by providing a one-off donation of 150 recycling bins that Challenge can use to increase their collection service ability and volume in schools. School specific stickers have also been designed for the bins to show students what type of waste goes in each of the bins located in their playgrounds.

Tomorrow, the bins will be placed in schools and the program will relaunch. We invite all interested media to attend an opportunity.
