Byron Shire Council has made some improvements to its website to make finding information about development applications easier via a new DA Tracker.
This is in response to feedback from the public who have had difficulty finding information about DAs since the new website was launched in February 2018.
Shannon Burt, Director Sustainable Environment and Economy, said the Byron Shire community was very interested in a wide range of developments proposed for towns, villages and rural areas and the changes to the website are designed to make sure information is easy to find.
The three most popular Byron Shire website pages are:
Job vacancies and employment opportunities Find a DA Apply for a parking permit“Most people do not know that there are several programs that operate within the website and it has taken some time for staff to be able to merge some of the technologies to make it more user-friendly.
“The new DA Tracker is user-friendly and similar to that being used by other councils and I am hoping it will be helpful in providing the information that people are looking for,” Ms Burt said.
People wanting to search for DA information should go to the home page of the website and click the Find a DA tile. This will go through to the DA Tracker.
