Home Hill Pool closing for structural tests from 30 March 2019

Home Hill Pool will be closed on Saturday 30 March 2019 for 7-9 days.

During this time Burdekin Shire Council will undertake testing of the concrete shell to check the health of the concrete structure which is approximately 60 years old. For this testing to occur the pool must first be emptied.  Repairing the shell requires curing time before the pool can be refilled – this provides uncertainty on re-opening at this stage.

As the work progresses  updates will be provided.

Ayr Pool will be open for business during this time for your aquatic needs.
