Young people aged 12–25 years are encouraged to share their talents in front of a live audience at a new youth open mic night in Gisborne.
Musicians, singers, poets, comedians, dancers, story-tellers and more are invited to perform at the monthly event, which is hosted by Council’s Music in the Sticks (MITS) program.
Performers will be able to access a PA, stage, microphones and amplifier, along with instruments such as a drum-kit, bass guitar, keyboard and guitar.
Whether you’re performing or cheering friends along, don’t miss out on being part of the shire’s new youth open mic night.
The next open mic night is being held on Friday 5 April, from 6pm–8pm at Gisborne Mechanics Institute, 8A Hamilton Street, Gisborne.
The cost is $2, and participants are welcome to bring their own instrument or use the ones supplied.
The event is drug, alcohol and tobacco free.
