Strathbogie Shire Councillors have recently engaged in a workshop with recruitment agency, Omera Partners to discuss attributes and qualities they’d like to see in the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Strathbogie Shire Council, as they start the recruitment process.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Amanda McClaren said the group had a very productive workshop.
“It was a great opportunity for Councillors to sit down and have an open discussion about the qualities and attributes we’d like to see in our next CEO and what is required to continue to drive this Council towards achieving the objectives we have set in our Council Plan,” Mayor McClaren said.
“The workshop has allowed us to have some very valuable discussions with Omera Partners, develop a shared vision going forward, and provide Omera Partners with the direction they need to start drafting a profile for this position.”
Mayor McClaren said she encourages the community to provide their thoughts and feedback about the direction they’d like to see Councillors take with the recruitment of the next CEO.
“We value community feedback and ask that you to contact your relevant Ward Councillor, either by phone or email, if you’d like to provide your thoughts,” Mayor McClaren said.
If you’re interested in applying for the role, you cannot have any conversations with Councillors about this, but you can contact Omera Partners to discuss the position.
