Revised Master Plans and reserve maps have now been prepared for the:

Quotes attributable to Mayor Cr Mikaela Power

“Reviewing Recreation Master Plans every four years is a key recommendation of the Recreation Strategy 2017-2027. Across the six plans, $32,074,306 worth of projects have been delivered, representing 54 per cent of all projects identified since the first plan was adopted in 2008.

“After the initial consultation process, some master plan projects have been removed, while others have had their project scopes amended.  A long list of new projects have also been added. We are undertaking a second round of consultation to ensure we have reflected the views of sporting clubs, committees of management, community groups and residents in developing the draft plans.”

Quotes attributable to East Ward Cr Darren Wallace

“Sport and recreation are the lifeblood of our communities in Baw Baw. There has been a lot of consultation and data collected so far – 37 submissions and an additional 68 submissions made through the budget process, which covers projects that are in the Master Plan - and I believe the Draft Master Plans capture the vision of many different user groups.”

Quotes attributable to West Ward Cr Keith Cook

“These Draft Master Plans have come about following a massive 26 workshops involving about 350 people. I’d like to acknowledge Council’s Recreation team for their massive work over this period. Thank you to the people who put in to make this happen - now it’s your opportunity to let us know if we’ve hit the mark.”
