Being your own boss by starting your own business can be hard work, but is also very rewarding.
The Workary in Cabramatta is holding a FREE 10-day workshop, Exploring Being My Own Boss, to provide practical skills for local would-be entrepreneurs and start-ups to help kick start their business dreams.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said as a former small business owner, he understood the importance of support and guidance early in a business career.
“Starting your own business is exciting, but also nerve-racking and I applaud everyone who gives it a go,” Mayor Carbone said.
“While there is no such thing as a free lunch in business, The Workary workshop at Whitlam Library - Cabramatta is free.
“The payback for Council is that we see residents live their business dreams and a boost to our local economy with new business and investment.”
The 10-day workshop, run in partnership with business trainers MTC Australia, will teach practical skills including:
how to think like an entrepreneur brand and design finance getting and retaining customers pitching and communication.Exploring Being My Own Boss runs weekdays from Monday 29 April-Friday 10 May, 9.30am-4pm.
