Mentoring clinics to support small business

Published on 13 March 2019

Corangamite business operators have an opportunity to gain specialist advice that could take their enterprise to the next level.

Corangamite Shire, in conjunction with Small Business Mentoring Service, is offering a series of free mentoring sessions to support local operators.

The first clinic is to be hosted in Camperdown with dates of clinics in other towns across the Shire to be announced.

Corangamite Manager Growth and Engagement Rory Neeson said the clinics were an opportunity to gain knowledge and insights from experienced business people.

“These clinics will provide general business advice that can help grow your company,” he said.

“Some small business people might feel they are on their own and have to learn through trial and error, but learning from other people’s mistakes—and their successes—can put you further down the road to success.”

Mr Neeson said business mentors with a fresh perspective can help new or experienced business people focus and bring out their potential.

“Talking one-on-one with an experienced mentor can help recognise your strengths or areas that need improvement, or can identify opportunities you might not have considered.”

Sessions are free, but bookings are required here.
