Campaspe Shire Council is supporting local community groups, schools and not-for-profit organisations during Youth Week with funding through council’s Youth Grant Program.
Youth Week is on from 5 to 14 April and empowers young people to recognise and celebrate their achievements.
Economic and Community Development General Manager, Mr Keith Oberin said grants of $500 have been awarded to the following:
St Joseph’s College – Youth concert Lockington Youth Action Group - The Lockington Scarecrow Festival, 27 – 28 April Rushworth P-12 College – School wellbeing day Echuca College – BBQ and school band concert Physical Mind Co. – Mindfulness meditation workshop, held during Youth Week Thorne Harbour Country and Kyabram Community & Learning Centre - IDAHO craft workshops to be held during Youth WeekWith Youth Week falling in the school holidays, many of the activities will be held once school resumes in term two.
“Council is proud to support these great initiatives with funding along with assistance from our Youth Engagement Officer,” said Mr Oberin.
