The cost of Friday’s Bunkers Hill bushfire is estimated to be several million dollars, with damage to houses, outbuildings and major shedding, along with fencing, fodder, water supplies and other infrastructure.

The City of Ballarat’s focus has been on initial support for the first responders, which was over Friday and Saturday, and recovery in recent days, with building surveyors, environmental health officers and Local Law expertise visiting impacted sites to work with impacted parties.
