A huge variety of fun activities and events are set to take place in Baw Baw to celebrate Youth Week 2019.
Youth Week is a ten-day celebration of young people (aged 12–25) across Victoria from Friday 5 April to Sunday 14 April, during school holidays.
It gives young people a chance to express their ideas and views, and act on issues that affect their lives. It's also lots of fun and celebrates the positive contributions young people make to our community.
Young people across Baw Baw Shire are encouraged to join in the free and low-cost events, activities, workshops, sessions and concerts, including:
Pool party and movie night at the Warragul Leisure Centre Action sports clinic at Warragul Skate Park Recycling workshop “Getting it Right on Bin Night” Amazing Race through the Warragul CBD with Red Frogs Crew Roller derby and roller-skating info session with the Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby “Empowering by Rhythm” drumming circle on the Djembe drum Virtual group fitness classes with YMCA Digital games and virtual reality day at the Warragul library Teen yoga at the Warragul Leisure Centre Superhero movie madness marathon at the Warragul library Dodgeball with GippSport at the Warragul Leisure Centre MYND wellness session with YMCA Festival makeup masterclass with professional make-up artist at Drouin library Hip-hop and contemporary dance workshops facilitated by Dance Pointe All ages 3 x3 basketball tournament at the Warragul Leisure Centre NBA day with classic basketball movies and a chance to play NBA2K19 Twilight Tunes concert featuring Donnie Way and The Lancias in Drouin Civic ParkEvent goers are encouraged to check individual event listings for full details.
